The two founders of the company are from Spain and New Zealand. María Paz Díaz, our principal translator and translation coordinator, has been living in New Zealand now for 28 years and is very familiar with the lifestyle and the terminology used here. She also has extensive experience in translating work for Central and Latin American markets.
As well as providing services directly to clients, we offer a freelance translation service to other translating companies or agencies and work directly with immigration consultants and lawyers in assisting new migrants to New Zealand.

Whether you require a translation of a one-page letter or a large website, we can offer you professional quality translations at competitive prices.
We have a standard price per document for Driver Licences and Birth/Marriage/Death and Police Clearance Certificates. Our fees for other documents are based on a word count and depend on the complexity, technical content, urgency etc. and are subject to a minimum charge. In order to give you the best competitive price, just send us a clear scanned copy (or photo) of the original document by email and our translation coordinator will provide you with a quotation, as discounts apply for larger projects and for translation agencies.
Translation Speed
We know how important it is to provide a rapid translation service, whether it is getting a new product or service out into the market or the final process for applying for a New Zealand work visa or residency. For standard certificates and driver licences we can translate them within a day, if required, for no extra charge. For all other documents we will try to fit in with your timeframes.
While many New Zealand translation companies offer a wide range of languages, we have decided to focus only in offering Spanish-English or English-Spanish language pairs, so we can provide clients with the highest level of skill and superior knowledge of both cultures.
Accuracy and Assurance
There is no substitute for an experienced human translator when you need your documents or website translated as accurately as possible. Unlike machine or computer-generated translations, a translation done by a qualified experienced translator who can understand the subtle cultural differences in the two languages makes a big difference to the quality of the final translation.
We have a multi-level quality assurance procedure, where all documents are checked by a second person to ensure final accuracy.
Spanish Communications uses the industry-standard translation and localisation software, SDL Trados Studio, Passolo and Catalyst. This allows us to provide quality and consistency in the terminology used in your translations.
